Born To Be a Newspaper Man
by Martin J. McGowan Jr.
Dedication
This writing was done at the suggestion of my daughter, Maureen Sinkler, who said it would be interesting to know more about my early days. After covering my early years, I just kept going and this has turned into an autobiography. For her interest in stimulating me to resurrect the events over a long and fruitful life, I dedicate this work to Maureen.
Maureen also deserves this dedication for another reason. She performed a humanitarian act by donating a kidney to her brother, Kevin, whose health was deteriorating with kidney dialysis. Others were willing to donate but she was a good match and was willing to take the time from her family to give Kevin the gift of life. Both are doing well now.
